31st October to 1st of November 2003
PartyCon was TFC's first convention. It's intention was to be a party, a Watchers' Conclave meeting lasting an entire weekend, and that's exactly how it turned out.
Unlike most conventions we have been involved with the committee got time to enjoy this one with the attendees, and may I say on behalf of the entire committee thanks to everyone who came. The convention was small but it was big on fun.
We did have a guest of honour in the shape of Mr S. K. Eleton, who was very shy and quiet for the first part of the weekend, however on Sunday evening we did convince him to sign autographs, pose for photos and even dance with a few attendees. He had such a good time that he partied way into the night and the committee haven't seen him since.
Over the weekend there were various events, click on the links below to check out the fun.

Over the weekend there were two Quizzes. On Saturday there was a team quiz and on Sunday we had an individual quiz. Both were well attended and thanks to everyone for taking part and making them so much fun. Both had 10 rounds of 5 questions each. Subjects covered were Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Stargate, Connections, Babylon5, Dr Who, Farscape, Angel, Star Trek, Blake's 7, Gerry Anderson, a General round , a Music round and a Picture round. Unsurprisingly Buffy and Angel were the top scoring rounds, but overall the standard was very high.
Team Quiz.
The attendees were split into groups to answer the question, each group chose a name for itself we had The Dundee Lot no need to enquire who they were. There were also The No Hopers who yes came last but only just.
There were a number of tactics used to answer the question or even just score points, from notes on answer sheets complimenting the committee on various things, pity it wasn't the committee who marked it. Another trick used was to call someone attending another convention to answer questions, needless to say this was spotted and the phone was confiscated - no calling a friend allowed here. Coughing was also prohibited.
Winners
Third Place:- Society for the Protection of Innocent Tiles.
Second Place:- U.S.S. Valiant.
First Place :- Killin' Joke - made up of Arthur Forbes, Jim Johnstone and Stephen Thomson.
Individual Quiz.
The individual Quiz on Sunday started a little late to allow people to recover from the party of the previous evening. Some people refused to put their names to the question sheets, but they were not among the lowest scores. Again a number of tactics were used to achieve good marks, no phones this time, but lots of attempted bribes of the committee.

Third place :- Arthur Forbes
Second Place :- Jim Johnstone
First Place :- Ewan Mains.

Friday night saw the Halloween party which also included the Fancy Dress. Unlike a fancy dress where people parade around, we decided that the committee would simply look at everyone's costume and then get together and nominate the winner. There were many excellent costumes, but the winner was chosen by an unanimous decision. Siobhan for her portrayal of Daphne which not only looked good but also suited her down to the ground.
